This type of headboard was often seen during Victorian times, where the metal is often shaped into scrolls or other interesting castings.  Quite often, it is painted white, other times it is given a brass or darker copper finish.  These can look lovely in a little girl’s bedroom, especially in white, giving the appearance of a princess bed.  Add lots of stuffed animals and cute lace lined pillows and you will have the perfect bed set for your daughter!  Fortunately, this type of headboard matches with most types of furniture, although it does look best, if in white, with all white furniture.

With so many choices available when it comes to buying a single headboard, you should not have any difficulty finding something that matches your décor, and that fits with your budget as well.
